Content: An introduction to the logic and methods of descriptive and inferential statistics with emphasis on application in Psychology. Topics covered include measures of central tendency and variability, distributions, the normal distribution, z-scores, hypothesis testing, probability, chi-square tests, t-tests, power, and correlation and regression.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
- Guided students through hands-on lab sessions using data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R), enhancing their practical skills in data manipulation, analysis, and interpretation.
- Grading assignments and exams, providing constructive feedback to students, and maintaining accurate records of student performance.
- Encouraged and moderated group discussions and projects, fostering a collaborative learning environment and enhancing students’ teamwork and communication skills in data analysis contexts
